About This Opportunity

The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is the flagship program of the U.S. Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). Since 2014, the Fellowship has brought thousands of young African leaders to the United States for academic and leadership training. The six-week program includes academic coursework, leadership training, and networking opportunities at U.S. colleges and universities. Fellows also participate in a Summit in Washington, D.C., meeting with U.S. leaders in government, business, and civil society. The program selects 700 African leaders annually across Business, Civic Leadership, and Public Management tracks.
